There was once girl who did not listen
When her parents told her that there was a bogeyman
"Watch out for el Cucuy" they'd cry to her
But she actively sought him out.

It was said el Cucuy took the young kids
Who had disobeyed their parents in the middle of the night
Sometimes he would eat them but other times
He would just spirit them away
